The performance “Не зря” (Not in Vain) was created by directors Boris Pavlovich and Dmitry Krestyankin with the participation of the ProArte Foundation in 2019. It features both professional actors and people who have lost their sight. The tall white sticks you see in the photos served both as a visual element and helped blind and visually impaired actors navigate the stage. They also produced a magical shimmering sound. The title of the performance plays on words: “Не зря” in Russian can mean both “not in vain” and “without seeing.”
